Articles of Faith

1. We believe in only one true and living God; The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Duet.6:4; Mal.2:10: 1 Cor.8:6; 1 John 5:7.
2. We believe that the scriptures of the old and new Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the only rule of faith and practice. We prefer the King James translation. 2 Tim.3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21.
3. We believe that all the human race is hereditarily depraved and are totally unable to extricate themselves from this condition of their own free will and ability. Acts 17:26; Romans 5:12,18; John 5:21; John 6:44.
4. We believe in the eternal unconditional election of all the saints to Glory. Romans 8:29-30; Eph 1:4-5.
5. We believe that the atonement and redemption of Jesus Christ are for the elect only and that they are justified in the sight of God by the imputed righteousness of the Son alone. Romans 4:6-11; Romans 5:19; James 2:23.
6. We believe in the sovereign, irresistible, direct, immediate and ever effectual work of The Holy Spirit in the calling, regeneration and sanctification of the elect of God at His own appointed way and time. 2 Timothy 1:9; Rev 17:14.
7. We believe there are those of the elect in every nation, kindred, tongue, people and family on earth. Revelation 5:9; Revelation 7:9.
8. We believe in the final preservation of all the children of God and they will all live with God in Eternal Glory. Romans 8:37-39; 1 Peter 1:5; John 10:28-29.
9. We believe in the resurrection of the dead; the just to eternal joy and happiness; the wicked to shame and everlasting contempt. 1 John 3:2; Romans 8:11; Philippians 3:21; 1 Cor. 15:49; Acts 24:15; John 5:28-29.
10. We believe that baptism by immersion, the Lord's supper and washing of feet are ordinances in the Church and true believers are the only fit subjects. Matt. 3:16; Matt. 26:26,28; Acts 8:12,37,39; Rom. 6:4; John 13; 1 Tim. 5:10; Matt. 28:20; Luke 22:29,30; Matt. 26:20,29.
11. We believe that the children of God who are born again are under law to Christ and it is their obligation to obey this law; in so doing they receive the blessings promised, but in disobedience they suffer the penalty while here in the world. Romans 8:1-4; Ephesians 2:10; Romans 6:4.
12. We believe that Christ set in the Church everything necessary for its happiness and well being and that all the modern day additions and auxiliaries are unscriptural and should not be tolerated. Deut 4:2; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23; 1 Corinthians 11:1-2; 2 Thes 2:15; 2 Thes 3:6.
13. We believe that no minister has a right to the administration of the ordinances unless regularly called and has come under the imposition of hands of the presbytery. Acts 13:2; Heb. 5:4; Matt. 19:28.
